The Captive and Vendor Finance Best Practices Roundtable is a small, highly-interactive half-day program designed to bring senior executives together for information sharing and critical thinking about the issues facing you each day as leaders of your organization. The roundtable will also provide an unparalleled networking opportunity.

The roundtable will be held from noon-4:30pm on Tuesday, April 9th, immediately preceding the National Funding Conference. It will begin with a joint luncheon with attendees of the Bank and Independent Best Practices Roundtables.

With more than 15 years of management consulting experience, Valerie serves as a strategic business advisor to clients in the equipment leasing and asset finance industry, guiding them on issues including corporate strategy, disruptive operating models, market entry, operational effectiveness, competitive analytics and capital markets strategies.  She brings a unique perspective to help clients anticipate the changes occurring in the industry and adjacent markets. Valerie also is a member of Alta’s Management Committee.
 
In addition to being a frequent industry speaker, Valerie serves on the Board of Trustees for the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation, the Editorial Board for the Journal of Equipment Lease Financing and was a founding member of the Women’s Council for the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association.  In 2019, The Monitor named her one of the top 50 women equipment leasing.
 
Prior to joining Alta, Valerie held senior management roles at CIT, Dow Jones and AT&T Capital.  She received a BA from Vassar College and an AMP degree from Harvard Business School.

Vince Mollica is Managing Director of CIT’s Jacksonville, FL-based Equipment Finance business, providing strategic direction and leadership for its Industrial, Technology, Office Imaging and Lender Finance verticals. Vince joined CIT in 1995 and most recently was Senior Vice President for Business Development and Structured Transactions within the Equipment Finance operation. Prior to this, he held key roles in Vendor Finance, including program management for a number of marquee technology and industrial clients. Earlier in his CIT tenure, Vince supported Corporate Finance functions and additionally held CFO roles across multiple business lines. Prior to joining CIT, he was with Bank of America and Price Waterhouse Coopers. Vince holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Montclair State University.

Joel Van Vark is the Vice President, Global Operating Platforms for John Deere Financial (JDF).  He leads JDF’s strategic portfolio and program management, business process excellence, technology enablement, change management and customer quality programs. He is also responsible for JDF’s data management and governance globally.  In this role, he brings a vision for leveraging the capabilities of modern technology with robust business processes to enable an exceptional customer and channel experience. This enables JDF to implement common processes that adapt well to various geographies, business capabilities, and increasing requirements from dealers and customers.
 
Joel graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. degree and earned an MBA from the University of Iowa. Joel joined John Deere Financial in 2001 and has held broad management roles including Managing Director, John Deere Bank S.A. in Luxembourg; President, John Deere Credit, Inc. in Burlington, Ontario, Canada; Vice President, Wholesale responsible for Deere’s Wholesale Credit function in the U.S. and Canada; and Vice President, International – based in Singapore where he was responsible for establishing JDF’s businesses in China, India, SE Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
 
Prior to joining John Deere Financial, Joel held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the financial services industry. Joel held leadership roles with Bank of America, Firstar Corporation (and its predecessors)  and CNH Capital, where he was General Manager – Europe, based in Dublin, Ireland.
